Cheater!

Cameras get the dirt on Rogers' hand

The Detroit Tigers pitcher, Kenny Rogers, not the singer, was caught in the first inning by Fox camera crews with a "foreign substance" on his pitching hand. It was ridiculous that the umpires didn't catch this until after the first inning, let alone they allowed him to pitch the rest of the game.
The article linked above explains that the rules of the game "forbids the pitcher to have on his person, or in his possession, any foreign substance. For such infraction of this section (b) the penalty shall be immediate ejection from the game." I don't see why it was even a question to keep him in the game, he should have been automatically ejected once it was noticed. It didn't help that the game was at Detroit. He whined his way out saying it was dirt, but last time I saw dirt, it wasn't that shiny! I'm glad to see that the Cardinals are in it to win it, FAIRLY!!!
